Chad Kroeger

Chad Robert Kroeger (born November 15, 1974) is a Canadian musician, guitarist, and producer best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Canadian rock band Nickelback. In addition to his work with Nickelback, Kroeger has been involved with a variety of collaborations, appearing as a guest musician in several songs and has contributed in both production and songwriting. He has co-written several songs for other artists and for films.

In March 2012, Kroeger entered into the studio to work with Avril Lavigne on her fifth studio album. On July 1, 2012, Lavigne and Kroeger began dating. The two became engaged in August 2012, after approximately one month of dating. The couple married in the south of France on Canada Day in 2013. They honeymooned in Portofino, Italy. However, they ended up divorcing.

Kroeger co-wrote eight of the thirteen tracks on Avril Lavigne and also appeared as a featured artist on the album's third single, "Let Me Go".
